The Palm Beach Catholic Forensic League, Florida Oceanfront National Speech & Debate Association District, and Florida Forensic League Macaw Region, promote interest in interscholastic forensics by encouraging fellowship among both students and coaches. Our leagues provide opportunities for competition through nearly a dozen tournaments within Palm Beach and Martin counties each year.
All PBCFL member schools are eligible to enter students in the PBCFL “Grand Finals” national qualifier tournament, which sends entries to the National Catholic Forensic League’s “Grand Nationals” championship tournament over Memorial Day Weekend.
All active NSDA programs are eligible to enter students in two Florida Oceanfront NSDA national qualifiers – the Congressional Debate tournament, and the Speech & Debate tournament. These send entries to the NSDA’s national championship in mid-June.
Members of the FFL Macaw Region compete in early February to advance to the state debate championship in early March. There is also a novice-specific championship in April for first-year debaters.
